What is different about Lakeside?

What does full service mean at Lakeside?
1. We try to have three handpicked choices in each vendor category for the couple to choose from
2. The day of the wedding we just want you to bring your clothing, bouquets and a smile.
How do we count guests?
1. Anyone attending your wedding including the wedding party that is 4 years old and above is counted.
Can we have alcohol?
1. You can have alcohol served at your reception
2. There is a $400 fee required to pay for a licensed bartender and an off duty police officer, table & linens, cups & napkins.
Can we have catering?
1. You may use your caterer or ours
2. The food must be prepared in a commercial kitchen for insurance purposes
Once we decide on your venue, what do we do next?
1. The agreement needs to be filled out and signed along with a nonrefundable reservation fee of $500. A refundable damage deposit is also due 30 days prior to the wedding.
2. This fee goes towards the package price.
How do we start once we have booked?
3. We give you a worksheet and guide you through it
4. We contact our vendors so they will be expecting a call from you or if you would like they can contact you first.
What comes next?
1. We give you all the contact information & pricing on the different vendor choices
2. We give the vendors your names, phone #, wedding date and time(Some of them contact you and others wait for you to contact them)
3. You decide which vendors you would like to visit (cakes and catering) and you must make tasting appointments.
4. You start filling out the Pink sheet as you make your choices
5. We are always here for you with any questions that come up
6. You can also make choices with the decorating
7. We go over everything with you the week before your wedding
8. We touch base with the vendors you have chosen the week before your wedding.
What happens the day of the wedding?
1. We develop a timeline that we prepare for each wedding based on what you have chosen for this day.
2. This is always adjustable during the reception

Policies

I. Findley’s Lakeside, Guest House & Gardens Access & Services
The Wedding Couple, Family and Guests may not access Lakeside Resort prior to the scheduled time as agreed upon; Lakeside Resort & Gardens, Guest House, dressing rooms, and restrooms will not be available for any event or reason until the scheduled rental period. The scheduled rental period is comprised of the actual event and all pre-event preparations – including, but not limited to, deliveries, decoration, rehearsals, set-up, etc. – and post-event measures necessary – including, but not limited to, clean-up, musician tear-down, etc. Rental items from an outside source must be brought in and taken out by caterer or host.
The Wedding Couple will be expensed for any time used in excess of the scheduled rental period.
This means that the last 20 minutes of your rental time includes your changing clothing, loading gifts, cake, etc. The Wedding Couple is responsible to communicate the scheduled rental period to vendors, wedding party, family, guests, etc. If anyone arrives earlier than the scheduled time, then an extra fee will be charged or your time will start earlier and end earlier.
If event is catered by your caterer, food must be prepared in a commercial kitchen and brought ready to serve. If anything needs to be cooked, heated or arranged on our serving dishes, additional fees will be charged accordingly.
If rehearsal is requested – One (1) full hour of time is allowed for a fee of $200 and must be scheduled beforehand by Lakeside management.

II. Findley’s Lakeside, Guest House & Gardens Care & Damage Deposit
Decorations placed in Lakeside Resort must be coordinated with Lakeside office. Use of permanent or adhesive fasteners in the Guest House to hang signs or other materials is prohibited. Shoe polish, shaving cream, and/or any other product(s) that could potentially be defacing to the outside or inside areas of the Guest House including, but not limited to, the parking lot and walkways is/are prohibited. Use of rice, birdseed, peanuts (Styrofoam), or Sparklers is prohibited; bubbles, bells, ribbon wands, eco confetti, and balloons are permitted. The flower girl must carry fresh petals only (If silk is used there will be a $50 cleanup fee assessed. Lakeside office must approve, prior to the event, any and all items not mentioned above, decorative, ornamental or otherwise.
Deliveries of cakes, flowers, etc. and rentals must be coordinated with the Lakeside office; all vendors must be approved by Lakeside management.
Alcoholic beverages (Beer, wine & champagne only, no hard alcohol) are allowed for your event, but you will be required to pay for a bartender and a Security Officer (due 30 days prior) to be present during the entire event. If alcohol is on property with no advance notice, an off duty officer will be called and the $500 will be assessed with the deposit or credit card # on file. This is for our safety and yours. Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Any items or personal belongings that are left at the Resort will only be held for one (1) month.
There is also a refundable deposit due no less than 30 days from the event. The deposit is three hundred dollars ($300) (No Alcohol) or five hundred ($500) (With Alcohol) Deposits are due 30 days before event and a credit card # may be held as the deposit. If damage is seen, it will be shown to card holder and a repair estimate made before any charges are required.
Lakeside management will conduct an inspection before and after the event; Guest(s) has/have the right, and is/are encouraged, to participate in the inspection. In the event any damage or loss is sustained to the Lakeside and/or reception hall, the damage deposit will be applied against any cost or expenses incurred. Any remaining unpaid costs or expenses can be taken out of deposit. All returned checks will result in a fifty dollar ($50) penalty fee, per check.

III. Refunds and Event Cancellations
A non-refundable reservation fee of Five Hundred ($500) is required upon the signing of this contract and goes towards the package price. This can be made in two equal payments if paid within 30 days. Six months prior to the wedding another $500 payment is due. The remaining balance will be due (30) days prior to the scheduled event. If booked less than four months prior to the wedding, a workable payment plan will be provided. If payment is not made on due date and no other arrangements have been made, contract is null and void.
